Is the Mafia still active in it's criminal activities?

I have been wondering for some time if the mafia is still active or have they gone into hiding? does anybody know?

They are still out there . They are still doing the same things . They just have invested more into legal enterprises and know how to keep a low profile . Publicity is bad for business .
