Question:
Should the USA take Iran's President comment into serious consideration?

"American empire in the world is reaching the end of its road, and its next rulers must limit their interference to their own borders," Ahmadinejad said.

Do you think that Ahmadinejad is telling the truth? Mahmoud actually is a pretty smart guy if you ask me. (By the way...Ron Paul and Iran's President are in agreement on this.) What do you all think....should we listen to Mahmoud Ahmedinejad, Iran's President?

He is just a loon. Just another big mouth with a bone to pick. We should continue to ignore him. Eventually the Iranian people will have enough living like slaves and will replace him and the Ayatollah.

The people who claim the USA is an imperial power and is policing the world are a hoot. If the USA was really a despot nation we would be collecting money, not doling it out all over the globe.

Someday I want the USA to stop all foreign aid and all medical aid, and all protection for the entire world. Just for a year. There would be some serious mind changing and howling going on then.

First of all, America has to become an imperialist nation for Ahmadinejad's statement to be taken seriously.

As Vice-President Dick Cheney accurately stated, if the USA were an imperialist nation, we would occupy a lot more territory on Earth than we have paid governments for our presence today. The Federal government pays foreign governments billions for permission to place military bases on their soil. This would not be the case if the US were imperialist.

The USA is not an imperialist nation and don't buy into scared Iranian propaganda. Terrorist Iran is illegally developing a nuclear weapons program and is terrorfied of justified intervention.

Yes I do think he is right. America are policing the world where as that should be the job of the UN. Its time the UN exercised its strength and united not just with a few western countries but including countries like Russia and China and even Iran Forget NATO and have a real multi national police force something with some real punch, unlike the present UN peace keepers. America is not big enough in today's world to do it alone.

I think that he is just reporting what he sees

They are also doing everything that they can to help our economy collapse as it will make them happy for some reason..

All empires have their time and then they decline just like the great Roman empire, or the Egyptians, or the Babylonian empire.

We have had our time and it is coming to an end..

I don't think we should take any foreign power's comments about the US seriously - as in take action on them. I believe everyone can have their opinion, but I am sick of the US caring so much about what the world thinks of us. If we had worried about that in 1776, we wouldn't be here.

America is a Empire and run by a dictator, from his own lips, BUSH.

where have you guys been on the moon?

The difference between this Empire and Rome is the capitol is in Israel

And yes not only the president of Iran feels that way but every person involved with Greenpeace, many in Israel, Human Rights organizations, even animal organizations and environment groups have had enough of Big Mouth Bush and his lies.

He is entitled to his opinion, we can listen to what he has to say but when we turn to leave we should watch our back.
