Question:
In the event of 2012³?

It is widely accepted that there's a galactic alignment occurring, that the calendar date corresponding to the 2012 prediction is the height/zenith/nadir of any activity.

Suppose then, in all fairness it is only going to happen once as far as we know - but it will happen on such a scale that more than one thing will be taking place on that [galactic] scale;

Here's three,
Wib-a-wib: A colossal gas mega[tera'peta'googol]giant capable of extinguishing all the stars in a galaxy, as effectively as a fire-blanket smothering a few sparks, will traverse the cosmos attracted by gravity and reducing everything in it's path to a perished inert state reduced to dust & minor fragments at absolute zero temperature.

Oscillating Galactic Phenomenon;
Over a period spanning generations of mankind, the onset of a phenomenon perceived as an oscillating waveform preventing usual speech function and thought processes, making screens impossible to watch, sounds very difficult to hear, and in it's first instance requiring life-saving acclimatisation for continuing survival - swallowing food & liquid becomes more like an effort to prevent immediate regurgitation. This eventuality seeming like it's solely intent on a sleight affecting just humans...

and [now in two flavours],
The Quantum Shake Up - a sudden wrench, e.g. caused by a temporal rift that is either travelling as a shock-wave or stationary laying in wait for potentially all the celestial bodies in the universe to one time reach - taking a corner with such immense gravitational power pulling around the chasm's lip as to disincorporate matter on a grand scale
or,
The Fission's Had It's Chips - Our sun when viewed with filters can be seen as a raging inferno - and moreover it is spinning on an axis too - but as if by a quirk of nuclear physics, one day the rotation takes a 90° corner and the lateral plane it seems to compliment the solar family of planets with by spinning this way is suddenly all perpendicular and looking like an imminent disaster upon us as the new gravitational influence presents a host of possible problems arising - all of which spell certain doom, the end of life on earth, then the planets as mere strays cast off into oblivion.....

What do YOU think will happen if it is to be the very end of everything & anything we are capable of knowing or experiencing as a planet's collective life-forms on a single plane/dimension of corporeal existence..., surely on more than a planetary scale....?

How has anyone construed the question as 'accepting' it will happen, without misreading 'widely accepted an alignment's taking place'....?

These are great ideas for a 2012 type film, on a par with anything like it you've seen and what's being said here is that whenever something on that scale occurs, no prediction foretelling it will actually prepare us - so don't worry about it - just have these ideas you can shape into amazing visual spectacles.

I think it will all end only after we've really been somewhere way way beyond - to say that there's the possibility of a fresh start in a distant remote place even if there's only the tiniest scraps of any substance from our world left there...., if we played a part in going there, so there's a legacy of our kind, our time, and place.

None of the above...while the imaginations of the Motion Picture Industry is stimulating and the film is fascinating, there are several flaws...I will begin with the first, which was the premise of this film...The Sun...it has quieted over the past few years. There are fewer solar flares expended and the scientists, humans scientists are baffled, as they speculate as to the reasoning behind this trait which occurred a few hundred years ago...Theory is always inaccurate until the end result is declared, but then it would have been to late. Ones best bet is to learn the truth of what is happening to this Planet, beyond the myth of Global Warming, which can't truly exist with the Sun in its quieted state...Ahh, the Misinterpretations and Misunderstandings of the human creature...you can look at something and never truly know what is happening. If only you knew the truth.

Know this...when it is time for it to END, there will be nothing Mankind as a species can do about it; regardless of what the movies claim, because they are just that, imagination. Humans are too arrogant and to avarice to look that far ahead, or beyond themselves; it was about selflessness, not selfishness, but that lesson too has been ignored. It has been about sharing all with all, but that too has been neglected...This much can be assured; when the Information is shared with the rest of the world; the Time to make amends would have already past for any to make a difference. Sorry!

P.S. As for the one who says the Sun does move...I rest my case...the Sun is moving through the Milky Way galaxy; this has been known for decades...and he's calling other people moronic...Humans?

The precise alignment happened in 1998, so where was the end of all we know?.

Perhaps this is now all a death dream.

The Mayans never predicted the end of everything, only a profound spiritual change.

So I'm afraid the only significance to me is that my driving licence expires on that year.

Unless they meant 8.12pm on the twenty four hour clock, and it is past that now.

The London Olympics is in 2012, so I'm sure the Government will cancel the ''end of everything''.

A better thing to really look at is what those clowns are doing at Cern (curiosity killed the cat and all that).

Post a question in 2013 ''What happened to 2012''.

NASA probable threw that e mail in the trash. it rather is unwarranted (to them) and that they produce different issues (like a loss of money and serious math problems) to handle. yet enable me take a stab. I agree that the top to the calender replaced into in basic terms a "damnit i'd like a destroy" 2nd. I propose, our calenders end each and every December thirty first and not something occurs. the undeniable fact that some say it ends on the 20 th or so makes that look much greater in all possibility in view that it somewhat is the solstice and a reliable battling element. (Dec thirty first is a lot greater suspicious) do no longer placed too lots faith into those with PhDs... whether he has a actual one, is it from a reliable college? even whether it somewhat is, is it in something suitable? even whether it somewhat is they provide PhDs to stupid human beings too as long as they finished the artwork... and whether he wasn't loopy getting in, i think of maximum persons flow loopy throughout the time of having PhDs besides. it is not going the poles will shift that 3 hundred and sixty 5 days... i think of that they had tutor greater indications of weakening now. And sunlight spots do no longer reason the poles to alter... our magnetic container is brought about by an inner tension (a dynamo which contain our iron center and molten metals surrounding it turning). it somewhat is genuine that like a rope being twisted too a good distance one way, our polarity can abruptly change. If this befell nevertheless, it does no longer reason earthquakes and floods. yet, if this occurs slowly there could be serious problems, like a upward push in maximum cancers, some crop injury, and a loss of a few communications that place self belief in satellites. So the worst case state of affairs could be if the poles befell to alter then (unlikely) and it befell to take a protracted time to accomplish that... yet from what we've seen it would not look like it could take that long in any respect. whether that did ensue... you could desire to placed on sunscreen, flow exterior fairly much less, take supplementations, and handle sluggish cyber web and no cellular telephone, whoop de-do. which would be a lull in human progression, no longer a destruction of our society.

Looking at this from a religious perspective, a special code in the bible says that it just the end of the world as WE know it, which some commentators of the bible say is the coming of the Messiah, but otherwise I agree with Sarah

I think that the world will not end what so ever. I think that, at the very very most, a certain race or species will die. I seriously think nothing will happen.

To answer your question of what do I think will happen if it does end, nothing. If it does all end there is nothing we can do, we wouldn't be able to stop it if it is some sort of prophesy.

I think life will go on as normal (whatever that is). But you might have interest in listening to Coast-to-Coast AM. They usually talk about that kind of stuff.
