Devise your own exit strategy for Iraq and Afghanistan. Be sure to provide historical examples to support why your plan should work. btw, I'm NOT interested in Obama's plan, I want to know yours.
thanks.

My exit strategy is to exit Afghanistan and Iraq by traveling across the Persian Plateau (Iran).

The US troops in Afghanistan travel to the West, the US troops in Iraq travel to the East, when they meet on the Persian Plateau (Iran) they travel South to the Arabian Sea and board ships to come home.

Any damage they do on the way out would be simply coincidental.

There isn't a historical example but we will make one for the Persians.

Finish our job, remove all terrorists, rebuild buildings for the people, make Iraq/Afghan as civil as possible, if possible. It'll take alot of time, though. Then slowly begin to reduce the amount of troops, but keep a military base(s) in both countries to keep an eye on things.

for Afghanistan- tell Pakistan to send its armies and usa starts leaving.Pakistan will welcome it.pakistan has 700,000 troops and highly trained so they can manage it.pakistan already is biggest contributor to united nation peace keeping forces.although pakistan would first demand removal of all indian armies and american troops before sending their troops.seek saudi Arabian help to tell pakistan to send it forces as saudi king has big influence on pakistan.pakistan can establish a moderate government at afghanistan and pakistan has all tribal elders of Afghanistan living there.so pakistan is only country which can help in afghanistan crisis.Use OIC to devise a plan if america is serious.i doubt america will ever leave afghanistan until their all army goes missing.its the place which defeated british, alaxander and every single invader so usa has to leave too.

for iraq- tells Muslim countries to send their armies.here use pakistan, iran, saudi arabia armies.

Exit strategies are for planning the evacuation of buildings in the case of a fire or other calamity. It has no military relevance.
