Ebola. Why has the west not done much?

I have just watched a documentary on the ebola crisis in Africa.
I feel sick.
Why on this earth don't the west and these super power country's let go of there dicks and actually do something.
If the world really wanted to. This plague that's spredding like wildfire in Africa could be stopped within days if the nations did something. The west goes mad when Iraq coughs and they send in everything to over throw saddam.
But villages in Africa are left to rot. You have people just left dieing in the street. They hope help will come but nothing gets done.
Makes me feel sick.

Oh, but they have. Here are the details NOT reported in US media (for obvious reasons so it seems)

1. Bill Gates (Heard of him?) owns about 61% of WHO (World Health Organization). Bill is also a big believer in eugenics. However, as of late, he is focusing on the over population of the African sub continent along with US strategey to remove the possibility that the poor and hunger may overwelm western security and resources. Their answer- prevent or lessen population by biological means a forced application of birth control. Kill the illiterate indigenous natives, plain, simple, cheap.

2. The CDC in Georgia, USA owns the patent rights on the Ebola strain, including 71 known mutated versions. Everytime a medicine, treatment or test is conducted, the royalty payment to the CDC is made.

BTW- The CDC is a publically traded entity on the stock exchange. Somebody is making money off someones elses suffering.

3. The US military has sent 6000 combat soldiers into the area to help with "Humanitarian aid". A farce as little does the US soldier know about extreme infection virus. The reason is more about a establishing a US presense in an area of the world rich in natural resources, and to coverup anyone from talking about the weaponization of the Ebola strain takling place in 2013/2014 recently.

That strain now, an airbourne version is out of control

So Andrew, your have seen what has been happening and are intelligent enough to see where this is going.

Well done.

You sitting there pretending the West hasn't done much doesn't make it so.

Reality is that Western nations are part of a global Ebola response.

If you haven't been paying attention to what all those countries are doing for whatever reason, and if what those countries are doing isn't being reported on wherever you live, that's your own personal ignorance.

And your own personal responsibility for correcting.

Instead of wasting your time complaining online, why aren't you using the internet to access the media of Western nations to educate yourself on what's being done?

That would be far better use of your time than embarrassing yourself on Yahoo from simple ignorance.

The answer is there was no money to be made by big pharma until it appears that the problem may come to the west. BUT, the unfortunate reality is that even if the vaccine were to be delivered to Africa, many of the people don't trust Western medicine partially because of leaders like Idi Amin who had his citizens believing that they were being poisoned by these vaccines.

There are lots of Doctors from the west who volunteer to go to Africa and help.

the west is working on it and there are several ways to increase chance of survival already (used to be 10% survival rate but now its 80% and still getting higher), but even though the west completed the vaccine, i doubt they'll give it to africa for free...you know..."people"

And keep spreading it shall until they learn good hygiene and common sense. Helping them is like trying to stack a pile of bricks neatly with a bunch of ppl kicking them down. You build a stack and think "okay good..some progress now to" and then they come and kick the stack down and then there are more bricks pouring in. You cant keep up because the bricks keep pouring in and they keep messing up your stacks. Soon you are covered in bricks and dying but they just jump around like monkeys laughing, pointing, and being ignorant. They crap in their beaches. They cook with dirty and sometimes bloody hands. Patients fled and bloody hospital sheets were stolen. Some dont believe ebola is even real. Others think we gave it to them. Then despite all warnings they keep eating monkeys and bats because apparently its been safe for years so that cant possibly be it.

because it was never really an issue in the West before - not enough cases to devote all the time and research and not enough cases to be able to test new drugs

There were health workers who went to Liberia. They were stoned, I think some were killed. I definitely don't want to go there and help people if they will try to kill me.

Because the World is ALL about "Them." And until the Problems IN It- affect "Them"- directly, Everyone ELSE can go to Hades- until it Eventually comes back to Haunt Us ALL... :(

Why is it our problem? We have enough people going their and coming back with it and transmitting it to our citizens.
