Just watched the latest advert from them as ever full of threats and scare tacticts , a few years ago i i experienced another example of their rather intrusive powers , i had just moved to a new address nobody knew of this other than me , imagine my surprise when having only lived there fo 3 months i get a letter from the dvla reminding me my licence was due for an update because the photo was now more than ten years old . I rang them curious as to how they had traced me to my new address . I hadnt changed my address on my icence as i was still living between the two addresses , i was surprised to learn that they use experian to trace people . WTF yes they use experian by asking them your last known credit transactions and to what address they are registered to . Personally i find this a bit intrusive and a touch on the scary side . Now it would seem they are liasing with private insurance companies to figure out wether your car is unsured and if its not you get a fine ............regardless of wether its one the road or not ........what happens if you have a small lapse between policy renewal ? Why are government depts like the dvla becoming so intrusive is this worng ? Do you care about it ? Is it right that they use your credit history to trace you ? Also who is too say that woth regards to experian it isnt a 2 way street in other words they use the DVLA to trace you too , privacy >>? what privacy ?

yes it is a privacy issue.

Here is a scenario. A man works away from home at a company supplied residence. He has chosen to tell his boss he does not drive because he realised that the boss could be a pain in the neck asking workers to make tricky driving errands which he would dislike. Obviously he maintains his car and licence address at his family home (where he goes at weekends), but changes a bank address to his company residence.

How about if the DVLA then wrote to him at that company place and the boss was also lodging there and saw the letter. A white lie would then be exposed when he had given no permission for them to contact him there.

But you were happy to live with an illegal licence?

Re insurance. If you have a car you will have to insure it OR SORN it. That means declare it off the road. If you do not then you get to have your day in court, it is an attempt to prevent uninsured vehicles being on the road, a good thing. Solution, set a reminder and do not have a laspe or SORN the car. Easy.

Actually ALL uk National 'institutions' are PRIVATE COMPANIES. We are in effect an OCCUPIED Nation. All of our Councils, inland Revenue, DVLA, Passport Services, UK Nation, Parliament etc ....are PRIVATE COMPANIES.

Globalist Financiers have taken covert control of majority of Nations on earth. To do this without open hostility fo the National People, they deliberately set up MIRROR institutions and bit by bit move our services over to their ownership.

from olden times we are ALL entitled to travel our land freely, only if you travel for commercial purposes are you OBLIGED to get tax, insurance, licence and MOT.

LOOK on your tax renewal form......says private and LIGHT NCOMMERCIAL use.

THAT is how they FORCE the public into the commercial 'lane' and steal our money.

And by the way....there is NO LAW mandating paying Income Tax or Self Assessment Tax. UK is run ENTIRELY from Corporation Tax and Business rates. Write and DE-REGISTER for paying tax with Inland Revenue....then keep your money.

100% income tax goes to pay Foreign finaniciers who own the Bank Of England (not UK National Bank but PRIVATE MONEY RAKING INSTITUTE) interest on the PAPER MONOPOLY MONEY they print at less than pennies and 'loan' to OUR Government at interest.....which is 100% OUR robbed Income Tax

IT IS VOLUNTARY....
