Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered Israel's UN delegation to boycott the Iranian president's speech at the UN General Assembly, the Prime Minister's Bureau announced Tuesday.

The new Iranian PM and the US are set to meet for the first time on the sidelines for talks. So if the US can do it, why is Israel not taking this similar approach with the new Iranian President?

Because Iran has done NOTHING to convince Israel or anyone else that they have changed ANY of their dangerous policies. They are still supporting Assad with weapons AND troops, They're still pursuing their nuclear weapon program. They are still supporting terrorist groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah. Finally, in the end the new president does not set the ultimate Iranian policy. That is left to the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei and his messaging has not changed at all.

They are instituting this new 'charm' campaign in order to find a way to lessen or get rid of the sanctions that are currently seriously damaging the Iranian economy. Their currency is worth half of what is was and they are selling a fraction of the oil they used to.

Well it's all about them and their own defence

Just after World War II when the original inhabitants of the area were turfed out and foreigners were shipped in to create a new Jewish state, they and neighbouring Arab countries decided these Jews should be removed. That backfired and the Jews have occupied more of the area ever since

Now countries like Iran still hate these Jews and want rid of them

But rather than obey International law, the Jewish government want to follow their own one sided agenda. Not only do they want to hold onto and defend the land they were given, they also want to occupy land that doesn't belong to them

Any negotiations will at some point require them to hand back territory that was never given to them but was meant to form a Palestinian state, which includes East Jerusalem

And unlike the US, Israel has to deal with fighting on its own borders and given the rhetoric that has come from Iran over the years along with the arms they send to the likes of Hezbollah and Syria it's highly unlikely the government of Israel would ever trust them

One idea that should be laid to rest immediately is that Iran is anti-Jewish. I happen to know (because my sister lives there) that the Jewish and Iranian communities in North London get along famously together. Only a couple of weeks ago, when my sister and Jewish brother-in-law were entertaining an old friend from Brazil, they went by choice to an Iranian restaurant and were treated royally.

Even under Ahmadinejad, they have a Jewish minority living in peace in Iran, and treated considerably better than many other states in history treated the Jews. Iran may be an Islamic republic, but the Islam it believes in wishes peace with all people because it is right, and they only wish the zionists in Israel had a better record of religious tolerance. It must be a source of great disappointment in Iran, since I do think they genuinely like the Jews and enjoy their sense of humour and artistic talents, and only dislike it when they barricade themselves up in a superior fiefdom where gentiles feel shut out and discriminated against. Ironic, considering how Iran has not itself been above closing its own borders to outsiders since the revolution.

The Shi'ites in Tehran are not the Wahhabis of fundamentalists such as the Taliban or Al Q'aida, and their bullying and proselytising is no worse than that of the American Southern baptists. The idea that one race of people is "God's Chosen People" justifying the ghettoisation of others is anathema to Islam, which believes that we are all equal under God, and that grace is only decided by our capacity to love and serve God well.

I believe that even the ayatollahs have got tired of Ahmadinejad's obsession with Israel, and have better things to do. Making carpets, trading, poetry - all these things are more a part of Iranian heritage than this spat with an arrogant and mistaken neighbour.

And therefore the problem and the solution lies with Israel, not with Iran. If Netanyahu is so proud and full of himself to turn his nose up at an olive branch, then we in my country and many other traditional allies of Israel since the Holocaust will observe and take note.

Israel does not want peace. In fact Iran was never a threat to anyone. Iran wants nuclear power to generate electricity, If that does happen, then Iran will free up its oil, and sell it to countries like india, japan, etc. Israel is also selling a lot of oil right now, and if Iran gets a chance to sell their oil, that will cause a monopoly. By the way, Turkey is Israel's partner in crime, they too control all the oil right now in central Asia. People have to be retarded to believe Iran wants nuclear weapons, in order to start a war with israel. Just think about it. Iran attacks Israel, Hezbollah, syria, and russia will be also be responsible. Nato, and Israel demolish Iran, Syria, russia, causing all these counties to loose all a lot of money. Loose, loose situation. Russia wont be able to sell its goodies to Syria, and Iran. If you do not believe me look up 10 billion dollar contract Iran, Syria. They were going to build gas pipes. Israel, russia, and america in desperation, they hire mercenaries from al Qaeda. This contract became official during summer of 2011. Israel is a dirty country, very dirty indeed. Not only Israel, and Turkey remain the superior counties that continue to make profits from their oil. But also allows Turkey, and Israel to continue to buy american tanks, and assault rifles, sniper rifles. How else do you think these rebels ended up with American fire arms???? Im sick and tired of Israel, thanks to them I have no family in Syria, as for turks, they are barbaric, lousy, pieces of shits. Do you really think America wants to bomb America, to liberate the Syrians? No, all propaganda. People must be retarded to believe every single god damn thing the media says. Israeli politicians have this all figured out. They studied their Geo-politics. Every zionist, and every israeli ***** deserves the worst punishment possible. They are selfish pricks, liars, murders, thief's, manipulators. And Americans, are okay with giving israel 8-12 billion dollars a year, to Israel. Im sic and tired of hearing the word Israel, Israel, Israel. The world does not revolve around Israel. Just watch Israelis, they are so happy that they are killing people in the middle east. They deny palestine, and how it used to be a state, they deny killing Innocent civilians. Israel is the most evil country in the world. It makes me sick, one day Israel will pay for everything, just wait once the Arab counties get back on their feet. Once all Arab countries become united, Israel squashers, will flee like parasites back to Europe, They will be known as the Khazars, the people they really are, nothing but low class tribes men. I feel bad for the jews that are against Israel.

Israel and Iran are long time foes to each other. Muslim nations against Jews. Even with a new Iranian president, Israel are wary how this new government will handle the IRAN/ISRAEL relation. It is something of Wait and See on the part of Israel. I am sure Israel will not be easily move for any peace talk offered by Iran, unless the offers are the dismantling of missiles pointing both ways to their homelands. That is a best offer for both warring nations. PEACE

When Iran recognises the State of Israel and promises NOT to 'wipe the jewish entity off of the map', as its avowed intent, then Israel might give Iran the time of day.

Until then, the US can keep on with appeasement.

Israel are the most insecure state on the planet because deep down they know they have no business being in the middle east!

Israel has been trying to give peace a chance since its creation. Unfortunately it is the local moslem countries which won't keep the peace.
