Did John Kerry just prevent a potential World War 3?

So Secretary of State, John Kerry (the dude with the grey hair and red tie) asks for ASSAD/SYRIA to give up it's chemical weapons and put them under 'international control'.

After that Kerry remark, Russia got the idea to propose to that Syria hand over their weapons so they can be DESTROYED in the interest of preventing war.

And now Obama's changed his mind and supports Kerry's decision...

He wanted to destroy Assad, the chemical weapons thing was just an excuse, most likely it was carried out on his orders anyway by the rebels

Sorry, but this is a completely wrong analysis of the situation. Someone asked Kerry what Syria could do to avoid missile strikes. He replied they would have to completely destroy all their chemical weapons stocks,but he said there was no chance of them being able to do so in the time available.



It seems very likely Putin heard this and come up with his plan to put the Syrian weapons stocks under international control. France has tabled a motion at the UN calling on this plan to be taken up.



Obama has said he will put military action on hold if this motion is carried.



There would not have been a 3rd WW even if the missile strikes had gone ahead.

I watched the video suggested by Slim Cheesy and I just about fell off my chair when Kerry was outraged that Syria had used napalm bombs in the past.Does Kerry forget that the U.S. used the same napalm bombs on the Vietnamese people, they U.S. tested nuclear bombs in the Nevada desert in the 50's and had their own soldiers walk into the radioactive dust clouds ( there are videos of the testing to watch).the government took no responsibility for the resulting health issues for the American citizens who lived downwind of these experiments.I think Kerry should stick to his script so he can at least sound like he knows what he's talking about.Has the U.S. turned in their own weapons of mass destruction or do they only type of bombs that only kill "the enemy" and not innocent citizens whether they live on their soil or foreign land.Last I looked bombs don't have the ability to distinguish who should live and die,they just hit the target and destroy. Bombs don't have loyalty or emotions or a social conscience,people do,they just need to exercise it.
