is blackbox in flight removable?

Today in college me and my friends were discussing abt malaysian flight incident....then.I heard abt new concept called BLACKBOX. According to them(friends) the blackbox can't be removed from.flight. Though I didnt knew anything about it I said that may be using। Sm technique it is may be possible to remove it. Cz todays technology is so advaced. But they said NO. We had long debate on it. Now it want to know CAN BLACKBOX BE REMOVED FRON FLIGHT OR.NOT?
I want answer with solid proof link.

News reports were saying there is a way to turn off the Black Box by pulling two fuses. It isn't easy to do.

The only evidence for this will be an aircraft manual. I don't understand why this matters anyway. All the black box does is keep flight information and send off a signal for an extended amount of time for investigators to find it and examine.



If for some reason it was removed it wouldn't of caused a crash. Pointless question....

The reason why the answer may not be as clear cut as you would prefer, is because there are many different designs of aircraft currently in service and technology will differ according to the age of types of aircraft.



There are two types of "black box" (actually they are coloured orange). One is the cockpit voice recorder, and the other is the data recorder.
