Question:
Every time the McCann saga comes up I still have one question.?

Why does Kate McCann refuse to answer those 48 questions put to her by the Portuguese police?
She said it was because by doing so she might incriminate herself.
Here is a small selection, could someone explain how answering any of these could incriminate someone who was innocent?
1. Did you search in the bedroom wardrobe?
2.Why did you immediately say Madeleine had been abducted?
3.Assuming she had been abducted, why did you leave the twins alone to go back to the Tapas when an abductor may still have been in the apartment?
4.Who contacted the authorities?
5.Did you call Sky News?
6.Did you ask for a priest?
7.Did Maddie suffer from any illness or take any medication?
8.Why did you go back to the Tapas and not just shout from the balcony?

Precisely!

Who in their right mind leaves children unsupervised in an apartment far out if sight if where they are eating?

That said why contact the media before talking to the police?

Who sets up a 'fighting fund ' within hours if the child being 'abducted' and employs 'spokesmen'?

Why did Gerry go swanning offbto the US to appear on chat shows leaving his wife and twins in Portugal?

Tennis and jogging....hardly the behaviour of desperate parents.

And refusing to co operate with the police.....isn't that the prerogative of people with something to hide?

The behaviour of the patents led to this situation and their behaviour since has been bizarre to say the least

Answering any or all of those questions would not implicate an innocent person.....it was sickening how quick the finger was pointed elsewhere....innocent men were harassed while the parents were not co operating and meeting the pope and Oprah.

These 48 questions were given to her on Sept 7th. It was her attorney who advised her not to answer them because they felt they were looking at the parents as the only suspects. Kate had been questioned for 8 hours on Sept 6th, answered ALL of their questions and cooperated FULLY with the Portugese police. What would you do if you were in a foriegn country, your daughter was missing, you'd already been questioned for 8 hours and had told police everything you knew about that night and then they call you a suspect and throw more of the same questions at you? I'll tell you what you should do... listen to your attorney. The police chief in charge at the time was fired because this was mishandled so badly and he was trying to find a good story, not what really happened to this little girl.

If the McCann's were un-employed council house poor people..... would we even still be hearing the name "MADELINE MCCANN" ........ no !!!! They are upper class Doctors !

What kind of person leaves 3 tiny kids in an apartment alone IN ANOTHER COUNTRY .... even if they were in sight distance of the apartment ??????????

I don't think they had anything directly to do with the disapperance of their Daughter BUT they are huggggeeelllyyy guilty of being bad bad parents !!

That poor poor little girl :( xxxx

Kate McCann DID refuse to answer these questions. She was also asked "Is it true you were considering giving Maddie to a relative to look after".

Look at the photograph of her and Gerry outside the church on what would have been Maddies 4th birthday,9 days after she disappeared. Do these look like people whose child may have been abducted by a pedophile?

Google "Gaspar statements".. Read the McCann case files. Don't make up your mind without reading about the case.

Kate mcCann is far to cold and calculating and i cant think of any parent who would not answer any questions to get there child back. Its not as if there difficult questions are they, and why the hell did they leave kids that young alone in the first place being doctors you think they would know the risks.

cos they have something to hide. even the question about the dogs dectecting the smell of a body on their clothing would be easily explained as they are doctors

I do not believe the McCann version of events.

Where did you get all these from? Let me guess, The News of The World or The Sun. If there is one thing that the Levison enquiry has proved is that what you read in the press needs to be taken with a very large pinch of salt. Unless you can tell me where you got this list of questions and the fact that Kate McCann refused to answer them, then I don't believe a word of it.
