Its quite simple really make all per owners have a pet owners license, in that anyone who wants a pet has to go on a animal care course, and those that abuse animals get fed to my lionesses.

I think animal cruelty is disgusting and the lowest of the low. Regarding the python i don't think a story like that hits home so much with many people as it's not cute and fluffy and a lot of people have phobias of snakes. But anyhoo animal cruelty is animal cruelty. Unfortunately i doubt this will ever stop as punishments for those involved aren't nearly as serious as the crimes themselves. Thus teaching this SCUM that "yeah do what the hell you want we won't punish you!" It's so sad but that's the way it is. I think if we all do our bit then the world would be a slightly better place. Whether it be donating your loose change to animal charities, volunteering at shelters or fund-raising- i believe everyone can do a little something to help.

Unfortunately, animal cruelty seems to be tolerated. If they catch the killer he'll probably get a 10 year ban from keeping pets, which is meaningless as it cannot be enforced. The only thing we can do is support animal charities like Animal Aid and League Against Cruel Sports. Don't expect any help from the Government, judges, or the police!

It is a disgrace that these exotic creatures are in our country in the first place. THE IRISH AND THE BRITISH goverments must put a stop to this barbaric trade and the ispca along with uspca must work together. BUT unfortunetly this will not happen. Both societies have a very poor reputation on the caring and protection of our domestic animals. So I don't have much hope for this one

OMG that picture made me feel sick. How could anyone do that?

Animal abusers should be treated like child abusers - if convicted get them on a national register so that they can never look after animals again.

All potential pet owners should have to prove they are capable of looking after an animal before they own it, and have to apply for a licence.

An eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth etc, if someone can dish out cruelty onto anything, animal or person, they should be subjected to the same cruelty they subjected the innocent to. For example, the perp that beat the snake to death should be beaten to death, murderers should be murdered in the same way etc etc

I think who ever does this to animals should be hanged.

Anyhow - At the time of Reckonings (Day of judgment) God will give the animals the chance to get their revenge - then after that they will be thrown into HELL..mwhahaah"
