I seen Nick Berg's Video, in my opinion it looks fictional. The neck has 4 arteries- 2 carotid arteries that carry oxygen-rich blood away from the heart to the head & body(one of each side of neck)
Then -2 smaller arteries called vertebral arteries that carry blood to the back of the brain. By making incision cutting the head off there should be massive blood spurting in all directions. Since there is a cutting of all 4 arteries, there should puddle of blood. Splattering on clothing & on person doing the cutting. Do you see any of this on the Video?????

I saw the video - It was horrific, but you are right, I did not see alot of blood spurting. It may have happened after he was already killed.

I'm not a doctor, but I would assume that the heart stops basically immediately since contact with the brain is severed. Blood would travel downward. So no "fountain" of blood like you are supposing.
