Question:
I'm really starting to not care about this Maddie case anymore. I feel tired when i read about it now. Why?

I really, really hope they find her safe and well, although nearly every single professional is saying that the chances of her still being found alive are almost zero now. But i am sick of every piece of news and every other question on here being about this single missing persons case. Yes it is tragic and it shouldn;t have happened, and yes people do want to read about it and they should be able to, but I am just tired of it. Is anyone else? Yes I know the parents are suffering enough, even though they did contribute to this situation. But am I the only one who is finding it tedious. I don't know why, but when i read that the England cricket team are wearing yellow ribbons for her, i just sighed, I just didn't care - i can;t see that good it will do. Isn't it just PR? I feel i know everything there is to know about this family and this case now, and I don't think reading more column inches about them or it, is going to interest me or help the Portuguese police. Am I the only one?

The first time since the little girl went missing I haven't actually checked the news or read the papers . I am like most decent people hope she will turn up safe and sound .

However I am not bored of hearing about it and it's not that i care less now about finding her and every other missing child . I just can't be bothered reading the same old thing time and time again .

I have my thoughts on how the case will end but I for one will always hope . I will be more interested when i find out how her parents will be dealt with for leaving 3 babies on their own . I will not condone child abuse and neglect in any shape or form . This case has highlighted that parents can not and should not ever leave their very young children alone.

I really think the case of Madeline is starting to get over reported. I know that the family want it to be kept in the media to encourage people to keep looking for her or anything suspicious but there is only so much people can do. No-one (that we know of anyway) has come forward with even the slightest shred of information relating the her disappearance directly. They've interviewed a couple of people but to me it seems like they are clutching at strawers. If no-one has come forward with any information in the first two weeks, it is unlikely that anyone will come forward now. As hard as it is to say it, the little girl is probably dead. And if she isn't, for example, if she's been taken by someone wanting a child (personally something I find to be unlikely) then you can guarantee they would have taken her as far away from Portugal as possible and made every effort to disguise her identity. In the space of two weeks, she could be the other side of the world for all her parents know. Despite having no news, the media have been reporting on this almost constantly and I think people are starting to feel bombarded because there really is nothing more to say on the matter. I think her parents are almost in denial and feel that as long as she's on the news, there is still hope. This of course isn't the case, they can report all they want but whatever has been done to Maddy, has been done. Reporting on it won't make any difference. Personally, I think everyone knows she's missing now and everyone has done what they can.

I am getting fed up with reading the same "UPDATES" which are not new at all, i think it's because there is nothing new to report or inform us. I do not believe though that just because nothing new is reported that people should forget or give up. If any of my kids went missing i would want everyone to keep talking and keep her awareness alive. I hope she is found safe and well and i think people should put themselves in the shoes of ANY child who gets abducted and think how you would feel before you make statements about the story. It is a cruel world and i really feel sorry for the whole family, and other families who live through a nightmare like this. For their sake, everyone keep praying

You clearly don't have children and I hope you never do if you can talk about a 4 year old child like that. If you don't want to hear about it, switch off the news, and don't buy a paper. It is absoultely right that the story is kept alive as it could be the only way to find her, dead or alive. I would say that there are very few people out there who find this story tedious. All parents take calculated risks at times. They were stupid but don't deserve the hell of not knowing.

I agree too - enough is enough.

There's millions starving in Africa and Asia, too. Children are dropping like flies there, yet a white girl gets kidnapped and it's all we hear about. And regarding what other people have said about turning off the news or not buying a paper, and don't we care about the little girl? Of course, we care, but we still want to know about the rest of the world.

Get some perspective!

flow by way of this internet site for some hours, and you would be able to desire to be sure that people do care. the full stinking mess is sinking so speedy that we've not got adequate people to bail out the stuff, and save it afloat. I blame the final sixteen years of presidents and the certainty that they did no longer care approximately something yet their very own grasping selves. All this is in the back of us, now. you would be able to desire to get your head outta this place. in case you do unlike your ex then tell him to get a protracted, out of your life. bitter milk on no account gets unsour. There are 1000's of ways you are able to discover yet another activity, that wasn't the only activity in the international study, "what color is your parachute". it enables flow you into the appropriate concepts-set. i could say the advice approximately medicine may be nicely located. An old asserting, you're able to do the appropriate factor, you're able to do the incorrect factor, however the only factor which you're able to try this is undesirable is "no longer something"

It's really ok to feel tired of waiting for any good news, sometimes in the waiting we often feel the pressures of hope for the finding to be a bit stressful, not knowing for certain that everything which can be done to find her has been used. I think we will hear something soon but those not involved personally in her search can do other things in their environment to be certain , children like her are kept safe,.

True ... i feel the same way. It wouldn't be so bad but they never have any "NEW" updates on the case. It's just the same thing we've heard over and over again.

I think it's partly due to the Portuguese police. If the case was in England they would of probably sorted it out by now. But the Portuguese law is different to ours over here. Their not able to release new evidence until about 5 days after finding it. Also their not able to arrest no one with out proper evidence !!!

I hope they catch this arsehole who's taken her ..

Luv You Maddie .... Come Home Soon xXx

It all really seems to come down to money, they want people to donate money, buy ribbons for this fund, sorry but I don't buy into that. Ugly words like sponsorship, charity, fund, advertising, promotion, donations all equal money. And think about it honestly would you really recognise her if she came walking down your street? No you wouldn't because how can you tell just from one photo? Her looks have probably been altered, hair cut, perhaps even made to look like a boy. Seems to be turning into one big Reality Show.

Well its quite simple...Don't watch the news and don't read the papers. No one is forcing you. The parents are doing what they feel will help and good luck to them, if it were my son missing I would be doing exactly the same and I would not stop until I got an answer.

im more frustrated that its gone on for so long and no-one seems to be any further in finding her.

i still care though for her well being though,

but yeah, i do agree, it has become a media circus with lots of public figures jumping on the bandwagon.

shame,

shame for Madeline, and shame on them
