She is the no.1 favourite from the beginning, and her coutry stated that she is the best Miss Venezuela ever. Although I'm not very agree with that statement. She is ok for me, but I think what made her win is her attitude, She doesn't like typical ladies, have to pretend elegance, she just being herself on the stage. For example, during her final round interview, she answered the question like she is talking with her friends. And also the time she won the crown, her reaction and also when she walk around after winning, her little bit sassy move, that is the first time I ever saw a girl did that. So I think the major factor that made her win is her attitude.

The most important part is the evening gown competition! Just look at the top 5. Beside her answer to the question is not actually good, Miss Venezuela's evening gown is most striking which means that makes everyone's view of her looks in the centre of attraction! All of them are pretty and she is most prettiest of all! Same like in year 2006, Miss Japan was 1st runner-up, Miss Puerto Rico's evening gown scores lots of points and she won Miss Universe 2006!

There's no doubt that Miss Venezuela took the crown... she adswere'd well. "Men think that the fastes way to go to a point is to go straight and women knows that the faster way is to go in curves".. which is true.. you really cannot predict a woman.. their mind changes..

The only thing that i hated venezuela is that they stopped training other countries for the ms universe..



I aslo liked Ms Mexico... I just don't like her answer.. She's gorgeous though..

Although Miss Venezuela was beautiful - Miss Mexico was too, and she gave the best answer in the Q/A part of the competition. Miss Mexico should have won. On a side note, Jerry Springer as a host? I think it's an all-time low for that pageant.

I do not think she deserved the crown. She was Ok, but there were better candidates. To me the one that answered the best was the candidate from Mexico and my two favorites were Mexico and Colombia, although my vote was for Colombia.

As must of us know, in Venezuela they "fix" (denture, liposuction, facial surgery, etc. etc.) their participants a year before and I believe this isn't fair... if this was the case ALL of us would be material for Miss Universe. Since I knew this, by a special program from Venezuela, I stopped believing in the validity of its "queens".

Yes, I think NOT all of them are 100% natural, but, plastic surgery is a major change. Besides, if you check other forums with similar questions you will see that the majority thinks the same.

They stole the crown to the Colombians, but Colombia will have the satisfaction of the people's vote... at least this is what the surveys dictate.

By the way, I'm not Colombian.

Stunning. Venezuela and Russia were my favorites, and I thought Mexico was beautiful also. I would have been happy with any of the above as the winner. I don't know why Colombia made it to the final moment, of course she was pretty, they are ALL PRETTY, but I don't think she was in the same "stunning"l eague as the previously mentioned girls. I love her! I tend to root for Venezuela every year, though I dont always like them. Like last year, and 2006, I didnt like them much. But i was really happy when I seen Dayana win the Venezuela crown in September.. Then when I compared

all the delegates of miss universe, Venezuela had it in

the bag, just as long as she didnt stumble in the final question.



oh and as for Colombia... eww, did not even deserve top 5..

i wouldnt have even put her in top 10.. actually come to think of it, she didnt even make my top 20 prediction list.

I think she is pretty! She belongs to Elite Model Management. The pageants are all about looks the past few years. What about brains? IMO she gave a stupid answer! She did not deserve the crown. I think Mexico did! and yes the latinas were beautiful but it is biased.

I dont think she was pretty or had a good enough answer to win Miss Universe, I honesty thought Mexico was going to win this year because she was stunning and had one of if not the best answer of all. Kosovo would have also been a better choice, but over all for me I think Mexico really deserved the crown.

I loved her evening gown and was rooting for her until she answered the question. Her answer was not that great. Based on the responses, I really thought that Miss D.R. would take the crown eventhough her dress was hideous.

Truthfully,I agree w/ Miss Venezuela winning.

Miss Colombia was beautiful,but she didn't have the aspects of a 'queen' like Miss Venezuela did.

Miss Columbia had a high chance of winning,but I think she kinda screw up the question.It also kills me that some of the decisions were really unfair.We have to face it,Miss Universe is not gonna be the same.All natural,being yourself and not looking like a barbie.And you know what hurts me the most this year??Is that most of the contestants looked a like...that's a shame.This is what we call-Plastic surgery.

jen78 i agree with u miss Dr deserved to win, but her dress was not hideous i mean did u really , i mean really see it? it was a work of art, my friends who are artists saw the dress and were amazed, her dress was absolutely the best one, different, amazingly beautiful, and made to perfection, to me she was the winner, i asked my friend yaz, who do u think deserves to win and she said well its obvious they want venezuela to win, but the one who truly deserves it is DR, and its true she was the best one.

I honestly didn't think to highly of her, Venezuela has produced better Miss Universe. I honestly thought that both her, Colombia, and Russia answered poorly on the final question, if we are basing it in terms of the answers then it should've been between Dominican Republic and Mexico. It was good. Out of the finalist, i wanted miss mexico to win. out of the top 15, japan/america.

but i really wanted singapore{malaysia] to win

and basicallly, all of the finalist [except for russia] looks the same. practically all the competitors look the same anyways
