Israeli soldiers ROUND UP Civilians into a building and then DESTROY it, KILLING women and babies.?

No, i am not making this up.
Read it on the NYtimes... yes good ole NYTimes (in my opinion, one of the most trusted and reliable sources of news in the free and proud USA) yourself:
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/10/world/middleeast/10gaza.html?_r=1&hp

Furthermore, there are NO Hamas within 1 mile of the building. Only IDF soldiers.

The IDF (Israeli "defense" forces) ground troops were in the area ... they forced the civilians to leave there homes and put them in that building... they then destroy it.... they knew the civilians were in there because they themselves put them there.

-Over 30 innocent civilians killed.
-Pending War crimes investigation.

The article goes on to explain how the IDF soldiers then tried to block people from going to the area (cover up?) for nearly 4 days (per the Red Cross). When aid groups (Red Cross) arive, they find a few alive children hugging the dead bodies of their mothers.

Is this acceptable by any moral standards?

Can't blame Hamas this time.

basically have some warning approximately "depended on" information aspects. constantly be careful of ... in an editorial which leaves out pertinent quoted information. The historic previous of the apartheid, previous human rights violations and gestapo police strategies via the Israeli government over the years makes me have self assurance those accusations are authentic. the warriors are doing what they are advised to do. That section became into widely used for HAMAS interest and everybody in an area of HAMAS interest are straightforward sport in accordance to the pro ISRAEL circulate. Humanitarian help has been blocked alongside with newshounds for particularly a while and traditionally so why could they be extra proper now for the period of their modern conflict on Gaza? undemanding experience could say they does no longer be extra proper now.

No! It is not acceptable

"The International Committee of the Red Cross reported finding what it called shocking scenes on Wednesday, including four emaciated children next to the bodies of their dead mothers. In a rare and sharply critical statement, it said it believed that “the Israeli military failed to meet its obligation under international humanitarian law to care for and evacuate the wounded.”

John Ging, an Irishman who directs operations in Gaza for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, entered Gaza on Monday as journalists were kept out. He told Palestinian reporters in Gaza that the policy was a problem.

“For the truth to get out, journalists have to get in,” he said.

Israel is damned if it does and dead if it doesn’t.

I would hope that this will end for the best of the people of Gaza and Israel.

No other country on the planet has ever been expected to make suicidal concessions to its enemies even while they continue to try to destroy it. Yet that is what the world expects of Israel.

Why the Double standard?

Personally for those in the fight I hope this is a exploited story rather than fact ....

It's pointless cos no one will listen as they are biased.

They are too obsessed with the destruction of the terrorists.

Lets face it. The Hama's have done their country no favours. It causes a lack of sympathy. Maybe they are beyond help now. If only they didn't resort to suicide attacks people would support them instead if Israel.

Israel started their massacres since they occupied Palestine 1n 1948 It's an old history of fascism, the only difference between Israeli's and fascists is that the Israeli's hide the truth and instead throw the blame on other parties which makes them worse than fascists

Worse still I heard an Israeli spokesperson openly denying it on the BBC news. He said they don't have a policy of rounding up people into buildings and the IDF weren't in the area at the time.

In response to zak4792:

Believe me if just one Israeli civilian is killed you would be hearing about it all night while their are Palestinian civilians under buildings collapsed due to air strikes not found till now.

First of all, you have your facts wrong. Israel is not intentionally killing civilians but Hamas, being terrorists, are killing civilians themselves. Israel warns them in advance when and where they are going to launch a missile or bomb. Hamas takes advantage of this and drags innocent kids and women into where Israel told them to evacuate, making Israel look bad. It is all part of the Hamas strategy. Hence the name terrorist. Hamas doesn't give any warning to Israel, and Israel only fins out 15-30 seconds before.

This 'war' get more sickening every day. israel is allowed to do anything without being punished. They should be kicked out of the UN, sanctioned, and tried for war crimes. The only people being killed are civilians, UN personel, and aid workers.

Your idea of the "good ole NY Times" has rendered anything you say null and void.

IDF already said this didn't happen. nytimes is basing their article on UN claims and a testimony by a Palestinian child who saw his mother die.

And I wouldn't believe a word the UN says now. Not after seeing how the UN troops positioned in Gaza, who are supposed to be neutral, help armed Hamas members escape the battlefield in an ambulance:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAR_Iwq9-R0

After this - I certainly trust what the IDF says instead. So far Hamas lies have been shown and the UN bias have been shows by them helping the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza. IDF is the only one who is still reliable. They claim that Israel didn't shoot that building. I believe them. Especially after I saw proof of Hamas hot-wiring civilian buildings to blow them up when Israeli soldiers enter them.

You still trust UN to be honest considering they help Hamas on the battlefield? Suit yourself.

And nytimes and BBC are simply reporting what they heard from the UN.

The Israelis are being ***** yet again in their quest to steal what little land they haven't stolen from the Palestinians already...if they hadn't asked Britain for the land in the first place we wouldn't be having any problems with terrorists or the Middle East today.

Here is that same article here.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/israel/4162193/Gaza-medics-describe-horror-of-strike-which-killed-70.html

Human Rights Watch is now indicating that Israel is using white phosphorous, illegal against civilians.

Sickening isn't it?

I think you know.

The situation is ugly from all angles.
2009-01-10 20:11:13 UTC
yes it is. how much have the hamas done to the israelis that we never hear about.
2009-01-10 20:12:56 UTC
Of course not. But Israel thinks it has unassailable rights to the land, and as the innocent women and children of Iraq found out, there is nothing more dangerous than well-armed religious fundies.
