how do you pick out answers to McCann questions worth reading ?

First cross off the list of answers...

1) ignore the thumbs they are just a YA gimmick and do not reflect a good or bad answer.

2) ignore anyone who has stock answers often repeating the same thing question after question.

3) ignore people who just criticise if a post is not to their liking

4) ignore people who think the using the word "troll" or "chimp" or worse constitutes an argument.

5) ignore people who always attack the poster and not the post

6) ignore people who dismiss others in a patronising "you're not intelligent enough" way

Follow this simple guide and you separate the chaff from the wheat.

Any other guides ?

they are all worth reading.............if only to confirm how predictable some people are............

i agree about the 'intellectual snobs' ............... they really are funny ...........if you don't agree with them you must be thick....by the same token.............if you believe everything you are told.....you must be thick

you don't need to read the posts just look at the poster ........I've soon noticed who will call you names for daring to ask a question on the subject........

others just say........you don't care.........etc

why do some people get so worked up?

I do agree with you. I sometimes wonder if some of the 'anti's' have fallen 'victim' to local social services and have had children removed. Or have suffered an even worse tragedy and lost a child but never had the publicity machine help in the way it has for Maddie. So have become so distressed at their own loss that they cannot believe that the McCann's could make any kind of 'mistake' innocently. It was a very poor decision they made, but one I'm sure parents up and down the country have debated from time to time. It has cost them dearly for the rest of their lives. I personally cannot think of a worse 'punishment' than to lose a child and not know what has happened. Those who suffer such tragedies must go through trauma that I can only guess at and my heart goes out to them.

As you are being specific to McCann answers I have an opinion on this.... no matter what side of the fence you are on there's just so many McCann questions that are so ridiculous they can't fail to attract sarcasm from both sides. Ask a stupid question and it'll get a stupid answer...

but... just sometimes someone asks a sensible McCann question, and then you'll find that most people will give an answer worth reading.

Ignore people who post questions about Yahoo! answers itself or quetsions that seek to prove a point rather than genuinely seek information or understanding.

For you , the avatars must be a clue to the answer, you've posted so often chances are all have become quickly recognisable and predictable, an obvious point ?

I pick out most anti McCann questions as somebody has to defend this couple who have not been charged except by the anti's who post mainly untrue questions or completely false ones usually by the same 3 people. They have for whatever reason to wage a witch hunt which I do not think is fair or just.I will continue to do this either until they stop or until Maddie is found. Unfortunately even this may not stop them.

my argument is that you are a CHOLL (it's a mix between a chimp and troll)

Just one more...

Ignore questions that are self serving examples of social masturbation accompanied by avatars on the verge of 'coming'.

Oh...touched a nerve with the anal retentives I see! LOL
