Where were you and what were your thoughts.

I am not a Hollywood person so my thought was "who was James Gandolfini" when I saw a CNN Breaking News alert.

I was shocked because he's only 51 and hadn't been ill. He was brilliant in the Sopranos and True Romance, great actor. I'm surprised you didn't know who he was considering how popular the Sopranos series were.

The same as it was when better known actors like Paul Newman died. It was Aw, too bad. See it bothered me a lot more when my mom died or my Dad.They were great people the media paid no attention to, I knew them personally and I loved them and that hurt. When someone famous dies I'll hear about it for days on end but they were no better (or worse) than my mom and dad and I didn't know and love them. So it is a gee that's a shame kind of thing for me.

i was a fan of the Sopranos but he was unhealthy and overyweight i really would be more upset at actors like John Candy who is hillarious and was at the height of his career who died for the same reason while james could probably never outdo Tony.

This is the first I have learned about his death. He must have had a heart attack. He wasn't very old. I enjoyed the Sopranos. But, I don't form an emotional attachment to movie stars, athletes or other celebrities. I feel badly for their families, but I don't get broken up about it.

I in simple terms now found out by ability of having on YA. He became right into a good actor and that i did delight in him interior the sequence he became into in on HBO. For the existence of me, at this 2d, i won't think of of the call of the practice.

My reaction?- nothing. I am not a tv watcher so the name was not familiar at all.

I heard this man was young so I paused to hear the cause of death ( cardiac problems) and that was worrisone that people so young are dying already.

I liked him in the movie The Last Castle with Robert Redford. But no matter what part he played in his several movies, he will always be Tony Saprano to me. Im going to rewatch my Saprano's DVD set all this week in his memory.

He wasn't that big actor, but he was a quite famous actor. I don't like The Sopranos. I don't really like his movies, and his character in movies, but I really liked his acting in The Mexican, he was very funny.

What's made me really sad is he had dream life, extremely rich, successful acting career, but he had a quite short life.

He appears to have achieved stardom by playing a ruthless killer on the T.V.

series, "The Sopranos".

I have no opinion of his work, since I refuse to watch shows which glorify

mafia types. I felt the same way about the Godfather films.

Those who make money from lone-sharking, prostitution, illicit gambling, etc.

deserve none of my viewing time - nor yours either.

No reaction. I never saw the show or heard of him before now, but I will pray for his family.

No, I didn't watch The Sopranos. No interest in doing so either.
