The high oil price is because OPEC monopoly on oil.

Some of the OPEC members are enemy of US.

Hurting US economy and profits themselves.

At the same time, weaken US ability to invade Iran.

As Coleman said this issue needs to be taken to court as it is a complete fraud perpetrated to fatten the pocket books of Al Gore types. Global Warming is a naturally occurring event, the earth has heated and cooled itself thru out history and just because we are present on earth at this time does not mean that anything has changed. I have heard Gore actually make the statement that he could change weather when referring to El Nino. If he is so powerful the he should reverse his so-called global warming and get his hands out of the gasoline till. What hypocrisy is it for him to have electricity bills for a single home equal to entire subdivisions? Same old liberal trash. They never change.

YES. Al Gore is a MAJOR factor is the energy crisis. I laughed like carazy at his movie "An Inconvenient Truth". Total fiction for 90% of the movie. Too much WHINING from him and his "Environmentalist Cronies" about saving the Alaska tundra and the reindeer......Which is more important...Oil to power our nation or the numbers of reindeer in Alaska. There is NO EVIDENCE what-so-ever that building more oil drilling facilities or an extension to the Alaskan Pipeline would be harmful to wildlife. The present day pipeline has been operational for decades now with no noticeable impact on any of the wildlife in Alaska. Scientist are even finding that reindeer and other animals gather near the pipeline to stay warmer in extreme cold weather. This may be a positive benefit to the wildlife in the regions where the pipeline runs along the ground.



I do however believe that there is SOME evicence to indicate that the Earth is warming....but we cannot know if this is a normal or abnormal phase in the Earth's climate history. There is insufficient evidence to provide us with solid answers. The Earth is CONSTANTLY going through extreme cycles of heating and cooling. Geological evidence and ice core samples from northern regions of the Earth point to NUMEROUS "ice ages" and warming trends in the last 10,000 years or so. We cannot know the truth until we gather more evidence over the coming centuries. A "trend" over the course of 25-50 years means absolutely NOTHING.



We would be much better served to just concentrate our efforts on recycling, curbing pollution and creating more efficient heating methods for our homes and finding ways to increase fuel mileage in our automobiles.



Sidebar: A recent examination of Al Gore's home electric and heating bills in 2007 indicated that his home used 23 times as much energy as his neighbors do in the region. Prety bad considering he probably doesn't even live there much of the time. What's up with THAT???

The earth cools and warms in its own cycle, we can't make it stop what it does naturally. It's summer and duh.. its hot.. and I betcha it will be cold this winter.. what a concept!!

The lies about the global warming have been noted by the intelligent scientific community for years as baseless, but their announcements get no press because the only way to control the population is not through war issues but through the enviromental ones.

This was noted back in the 60s by the 'powers that be. Of course we saw the lies then and they continue.

The educational system is part of this whole and brainwash the kids. The stupid press/media only shows one side of the situation and people will believe it all.

Global warming is not a fraud. You can witness the mean temperature of our world slowly increase (see link below).



Whether of not increased CO2 emissions and global warming are responsible for the exponential increase and intensity frequency of natural disasters around the world, no one can say for certain.



We do know that the Polar Ice caps are melting and the temperature of ocean currents greatly determine the climates around the world. The increases and decreases of water in certain parts of the world could increase the movement of tectonic (ocean floor) plates, which would cause more volcanic and earthquake activity. We are already seeing indications of this around the world.



Most commercial and military aircraft around the world are equipped with Chemtrail emitters that, in theory, are supposed to cool the atmosphere. They also are carcinigenic and weaken our immune systems because these contain barium, arsenic, lead and aluminum.



Most world leaders see our present population as unsustainable and therefore, expendable. They believe that world catastrophes will be survived by some, and life can continue after that.



Cooling the earth so that the ice caps can freeze again would seem to be a good idea, but we currently lack the political will and the machinery to do this at this time. Essentially what we would require are freezer coils that would draw heat beyond the atmosphere above the poles like a straw.



In theory it should work, but the world seems to have developed a tribal mentality that has its eyes on the remaining oil and water. It does not seem to be terribly interested in combining it's efforts to save the world, I'm afraid.



If it were up to me, I'd choose life and try to save the planet and then worry about feeding ourselves, should we avert the upcoming disasters. I don't think I would want to be part of a world that values survival over humanity. How about you? Do you want to live in a world without love? Christ didn't.

I don't know if it's a lie or not, but people will buy into it because the media has created it's own atmosphere...an atmosphere supporting the idea of man made global warming. As for the global warming thing, the deal is that the global climate is insanely complicated, and we can't possibly anticipate every influence to the climate. Look, I don't really care all that much about global warming...what I do care about is a side-effect of emitting CO2...ocean acidification. We know that we emit 24 billion metric tons of CO2 into the atmosphere each year(that's about 1.8 million pounds a second). The oceans are absorbing huge amounts (about 22 million tons a day) and becoming more acidic.

"...the process by which the ocean normally maintains its chemical equilibrium is glacially slow, severely limiting its capacity to adjust to an extreme shock...the massive influx of industrial emissions is just that."

As the pH drops, the calcium carbonate shells of coral and shelled sea creatures dissolve. That means Diatoms (a type of alga) die, and that has a ripple effect throughout the food chain. For more than 600,000 years, the ocean has had a stable pH, but since the industrial revolution, the oceans have become 30% more acidic and it's getting worse. It's possible that global warming is a lie...maybe it isn't, but I don't care why people reduce their carbon footprint, just as long as they do. And yes, the earth is on a cycle of ocean acidification as well as warming. The last time the oceans were acidic, shelled organisms disappeared from the fossil record for 40,000 years and another 60,000 years to recover. No fraud there.

If the Arctic ice melt is a part of GW, Algore has ignored a couple of facts.

1. The Antarctic is not melting, only the Arctic.

2. There was an undersea volcanic eruption in 1999 underneath the Arctic area. From a rift that goes from Greenland to Siberia. Lava has continued to flow from that site since. It is only now beginning to subside. The ice melt seems to correspond exactly with these lava eruptions and flows. Additional info, The oceans temperatures are not rising, as 'the sky is falling' bunch would have us believe.

I live in northern Iowa. just a few weeks ago i witnessed storm after storm tear communities to shambles. this went on for weeks not day's WEEKS!
