Question:
An open question to Kate McCann?
anonymous

Is it true that Kate McCann refused to answer around 28 questions put to her by the Portuguese police during the investigation into Madeleine's disappearance.
If it is true, Why did she refuse ?
If she is so adamant that the press held back the search for Madeleine why did she or her spokesman court so much media attention for years after the event ?

A minute ago she said the press were hounding a "grieving mother", interesting phrase when she has no proof the child is dead. They should both be in jail for neglect and counting their lucky stars the other children weren't taken too. You're not supposed to go out for dinner when you have babies unsupervised,, that's on page one of parenting for idiots. If they were working class they'd be in jail and the other kids in the care of social services.

If those McCanns had not left there children alone to go out on the lash there would be no questions to ask or answer.

Were they underclass folks from some sink estate they would have been banged up and their other children taken into care. People with less fault have had their children confiscated and forcibly adopted.

Yes - once they 'knew' they were suspected of foul-play - they refused to answer anymore questions.....(media reports at the time)

Every time these two 'morons front-up' on TV/Media in general that 'rat I smell'....gets bigger and bigger.!!

How on earth the Portuguese authorities allowed 'them' to 'run' that case is beyond me. Their refusal to answer 'key' questions - they adopting a 'high and mighty' attitude - they controlling the enquiry/investigation (seemingly) at all levels - this alone should have resulted in them being charged with.....'the wilful neglect of their kids + being involved with the disappearance of the child'.!!

Their version of events (media reports) were totally different at the immediate beginning of the investigation - 'they' then realising it was 'looking bad for them'.....clammed-up - and have done ever since - they focusing on the treatment (accusations) they were reciving and turned the whole episode into one of 'defence' for themselves.

The UK police won't investigate - because it happened abroad - the UK social services never even bothered to check anything out (regarding the kids) - they taking the same attitude as the police.

Its pointless even discussing it any further .....they've got away with it - that being the total neglect of their kids resulting in the child missing. Both are doctors - the wife admitted (very early on) that they had 'left' their kids before ....and stated Madeleine had complained .....she had woken-up and no one was there - sleeping tablets come to mind (opinion).....with disastrous results.!!

At the end of the day - the Portuguese authorities were just glad to see the back of 'both' of them .....they weren't Portuguese nationals anyway - and with all the hassle they were getting it was easier to let them go.!!

As has already been said - this huge money making machine just keeps rolling along - they (no doubt) looking forward to more funds as a result of this (suspect) currant enquiry event.

I expect these '2 morons' will receive a decoration from 'Buck-House' in the near future - for their services in rasing the profile of ........missing kids etc.!!

The few snippets of her book I did read about showed exactly what K McCann was all about

While she was questioned by Portuguese detectives, she thought she was clever mumbling obscenities at them under her breath.

She thought they should have been out looking for Maddie & not questioning her, at all!

Those detectives must have thought she was barmy!

How did she know they weren't looking for Maddie?

Obviously for the want of a small sum they could have paid for a babysitter;

as recommended by resort staff, as they're always available & they are fully vetted.

Maddie wouldn't have had an opportunity to "disappear".

I too find it bloody strange she's pleading media Intrusion of a grieving mother, how does she know Maddie is dead?

More questions, than answers but no doubt she's expecting huge compensation from the newspaper.

I cannot fathom this couple, they went out of their way to manipulate the media yet are now whinging about it,what is their agenda. If my child went missing I would co-operate with the police and not refuse to answer questions, why get an injunction on a book, why bring suspicion on yourself, why create more questions than answers. They know what happened to the child and are too afraid to face the consequences.

I don't know and, unfortunately, I doubt we ever will. The injunction made against the book by the Portuguese police officer probably gave insight on this matter and probably has the information as to what you are asking. I completely agree with you in terms of the press - I thought the British press were very helpful towards this family on Madeleine's disappearance and think she is completely out of order with her actions (recently) against them. I always think that because they are considered upstanding members of the public (being doctors) and think things would have panned out differently if they were from lower social standing. Not to sound like a *****, but I have never thought of her as a genuine person (e.g. washing her child's toy when it smelt of her).

Yes it is true. This is the couple who also went jogging and playing tennis whist everyone else looked for their `kidnapped' child. How they must have laughed to themselves as everyone rallied around looking for a child that will never be found. Money was raised after a fund was launched a few days afterwards, Sky TV in on the act after McCann telephoned them a few hours after the discovery. Tony Blair also got embroiled in the farce.

All smoke and mirrors from a couple that deserve Oscars for their brilliant acting and portrayal of grieving parents.

Yes it is true. Why would you hamper any attempt to find your "missing" child? Would you also go jogging and play tennis on the 2nd day of her "disappearance" and allow locals to search instead? There are many things I could type here but there is a limit to the length of answers. I dont believe the guilty stay free for ever, and imagine the backlash when these two are found out.. Would any of you have either of them as your doctor?

I'm not going to add anything more to what has already, quite rightly, been said here already, and previously. I would just say, to her request for 'respect' that respect has to be EARNED. And I suggest that this couple hasn't done that, by a country mile.

Idiots will not be swayed by logic or evidence when rumour and conspiracy are so much more compelling.

Tragic for them and tragic for a family who will always grieve the loss of their child and long for the truth.

Don't get me started on this...!!! There's more to this than meets the eye. I've gotta be careful here but i'm saying it anyway as i feel that strongly about the whole saga.

Both Guilty...!! Too many questions unanswered. The whole thing smacks of Lies and Deceit.

Sorry guys but that's my answer to the question.

The Portugese Police were trying to implicate her and she was advised by her lawyer not to say anything. Get off it already, she had nothing to do with it.

But it wasn't like that though! I don't have the energy or time to get into at all now but the police had turned on her before they questioned her. Before they started, they said that they would only sentence her for two years if she admitted there and then that she killed her daughter- would you trust them after that?? The guy heading the investigation, Gonaclo Amaral received a suspended prison sentence for falsifying documents in another case where they tried to drag a confession out of somebody who turned out to be innocent. This is a FACT that is so noteworthy but nobody either notices or pays any attention to. He is the officer in charge of the investigation and he is a CRIMINAL! The link below touches on it. Admittedly the whole website is anti-Amaral but it doesn't change the fact that he is morally corrupt and unfit to lead an investigation. Now that's all I'm saying on the matter!

Can I just ask why I have got 10 thumbs down on here? It is not my fault that it is the truth that Gonaclo Amaral received a suspended prison sentence, it is just fact so why am I having thumbs down for just stating the truth?

You can grieve for someone's loss, that does not necessarily mean that he/she has to be dead.

I believe that Madeleine is still alive.
