May I solved with the my doubts ""Classical Tamil Conference" to be held in Coimbatore of Tamil Nadu, India?

Question

A ""Classical Tamil Conference" lasting for a time of 10 days(the organisers are not sure of the days so far) or so is going to be held at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu.

I have the following doubts rather questions on this Conference :::----

1. When the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu announced that a World Tamil Conference would be held at Coimbatore in Jun 2010, the World Tamil Conference (name may differ) announced that within a short period it is not possible to organise such a "HIGH" level Conference.

2. The CM of Tamil Nadu (might be through advice of the "koojaas" around him, took it as an "EGO" and announced that the Conference would be held in the name of ""Ulaga Sentamizh Manaadu"" thus challenging the World Tamil Organisation.

3. Being in power, the CM and his sycophants have started the arrangements,ofcourse through public money(government contributions,200%), to make successful of this Conference.

4. The present CM has been advised by his "koojaas" that his "guru" CN Annadurai had organised a Tamil Conference, his ""Arch Rival"" MGR had organised one, WHY CANNOT YOU???. Then what about his Prestige?????

5. So because of that "EGO" only, even by denying a ""Valid"" Conference by the World Tamil Organisation, this ""Classical Tamil Conference"" is being """CONDUCTED"""(Repeat)"""CONDUCTED""").

6 The Srilankan Tamils are struggling for their own identity in their own land is a seperate issue for the CM for Tamil Nadu. In an interview he has said that whatever happened in Sri Lanka is for the Tamils good sake. From this we can understand he is liitle bothered about Tamils in Sri Lanka.
EXPECTING SOME PRO TAMILS IN SRI LANKA VOICES/PAPERS SUBMIITED IN THIS CONFERENCE IS HIGHLY UNIMAGINABLE"

7. Ofcourse Vairamuthu and others daily saying something or other in Kalaignar TV about the Conference as if 4000 papers are there and like. But what is the surity that all the 4000 odd papers are about Tamil language? Who knows out of the writers of these 4000 odd writers does belong to ruling party and papers in praising the present CM(that also by ghost writers)?
8. Coming to the city where the Conference is going to be held :--
a) Roads are being digged in the name of the Conference, thus affecting the daily life by cutting cable wires for telephones, electricty etc, cutting down decades old trees in Mettupalayam Road, Singanallur Road etc, the Coimbatore citizens are already in a difiant mood ;
b) The Basic Need : WATER SUPPLY ::-- Except main area of the city like Town Hall, RS Puram, Puliya Kulam, etc, you cannot have a dinking water supply with regular intervals. Even in these areas you can have potable water supply every alternate days.
c) in suburban areas like Thudiyalur, PN Palayam, Singanallur, Ramanathapuram,etc it is worst. You can get potable water supply for every 10 (TEN) days only.

SO THE CITIZENS OF COIMBATORE ARE NATURALLY ANGERED OVER THIS ''''CULTURAL TAMIL CONFERENCE'' THAT ALSO DURING THE PEAK TIME OF SUMMER MAY-JUN.
d) It is a pity that neither the Govt nor the Coimbatore Municipl Corporation have so far not taken any efforts to solve these problems.

e) Calassical World Tamil Conference has become a ""BOON" to the ruling party members to mint money by the way of ""CONTRACTS"". These are NOT MY WORDS but of COIMBATORE CITIZENS.

f). So the general opinion among Coimbaotre citizens is, with the money allocatted for this Conference, why they cannot do some better basi amenities/arrangements for them?

9. Now can we come to conclusion that only for a ""PRESTIGE SAKE"" of a "Man in Power" , this Conference is being organised or somethig else ????

10. Or Is it going to be ""Mugastuthi"" of the CM, which he is so fond of ????

I SUBMIT THAT I AM NOT A SUPPORTER OF ANY POLITICAL PARTY.

I want to know the views of our learned Y/A members on this.

YOU had already posed the question here only recently and closed it in favour of the views of 6000 year young one, why again the same question? Are you running out of questions or what? Why torment the DMK fans like this unnecessarily? We may not agree with the rulers on many points, but we have to depend on them only till next elections. Bala gave a graphic pic of the state of the average citizen in reply to your earlier question. I don't think your contacts would like to speak more on this just to annoy our DMK brothers who simply would find reasons to support their leader.



We may stop with our rejection of the reasons for the Meet in existing circumstan ces. But I think that 6000 years also has some points which we may not dismiss due to our displeasure with Kalaignar on many counts. After all we are one community in essence with divergent aspirations and perceptions on many issues. Please skip to another question.

Bull, benefits to Tamil by this conference will be very less. I am not going to bring Srilankan issue into this, because it is not part of India and it is not TN problem. Comparing Sri Lanka issue with TN is similar to Pak poking nose into J&K. Coimbatore city gets some revenue and gives council members a good chance to earn some, by obtaining sponsorship from big industries. Contractors (politically influenced) get contract to build guest houses ( I really can't understand why - waste of time and money ). There are enough hotels/lodges for guests. Good for the city because it gets a good face lift and it is always my dream city. Good scenery and closer to western ghats, pleasant place for Tamil conference with Marudamalai Murugan witnessing the play. I don't like Kalaignar's political stunts and decision. But I always respect his literature work and Tamil speech! Real benefit to Tamil will only happen when mass media like Cinema and TV changes there way of portraying movie and songs. Fusion songs are ok, but meaning less songs are really hurting the language. Hopefully something meaning full gets done in the conference to stop un ethical work! It will be good if govt encourages real Tamil literature scholars and publish their work at govt expenses. Technology is changing, it can all be published on web to encourage world tamil population. Some Tamil scholars will be recognized for their work! That is good encouragement, if there is political hand behind the awards, it will be tainted and discourage scholars. Benefits depends on the resolution and the way they implement it.

what balu has doubt regarding tamil Conference i agree with him to little extent.the main purpose to Start that Conference is to promote tamil language to the next generation who are aware of nalwars,alwars and other stuff.The reason for holding the conference in coimbatore is most of the rich are from that place who will sponsor the conference.whether it is boon or bane the younger generations are most benefited.any govt which rule will not bother about the basic things but only worried about something which is not useful that is the beauty of the politician.The people should be blame for that not the CM or the politicians.

To- day Kalaingar has proclaimed that if Sri Lankan Tamils are not given equal status then He won't be a silent spectator.It is my presumption that Kalaingar's popularity was sagging among World Tamils.They expected Kalaingar would leave no stone unturned to bring peace in the Island.Some of Kalaingar's pro Tamil moves were accomplished as instructed by his conscience.Decision to undergo fast unto death was such a move to show his solidarity with Lankan Tamils.His poem on the deplorable demise of Tamil Selvan was another example for his pro-Tamil attitude.He had to face a lot of repercussions for this poem from Opposition Leaders.His strength is his weakness.He is in power and that is his strength.But this strength becomes weak on Tamil issue,the reasons are many,first his own greedy family members and others act as stumble block in order to continue in power,secondly,opposition parties would take his pro Tamil or Tiger move as weapon to pull him down or face any consequences.So he was in catch 22 position.Being as astute as Chanakyar his immediate reaction was to draw another bigger line,in the form of Tamil Conference,to make the existing longer line of his reckless action on Tamil Issue shorter.Kalaingar's acumen is beyond any explanation.No one can fool him nor do chamcha.His statesmanship is second to none.He has seen scores of challenges and defeated almost all.He manages his chaotic family members,he convinces every one,none of his party members has any ill feeling on him,no sinnamma or sitthappa controlling him,he is transparent,may be his Lankan move would give a delayed result or nil result even had he fought it out as per Tamils thinking,He doesn't need advisers to guide him what to do and what not to do.rather they will be taking advise from him.DMK party leaders or workers are not like 'come and go' type.they are staunch supporters of Kalaingar.

What Tamil Tigers have not achieved will definitely be achieved by this TAMIL KIZHA PULI,KALAINGAR.

This Coimbatore Tamil Conference may be a BANE to Coimbatore people but a BOON to Lankan Tamils.
