David Cameron has called on Labour's Ed Miliband to rule out a post-election deal between Labour and the SNP in the event of a hung Parliament.

I doubt they will get enough seats to be much of a partner in a coalition government. The Lib/Dems had 57 seats. I can't see UKIP getting that.

Any of them are foolish in ruling out anything at this early stage. They only say it for election purposes anyway. They have no idea until the day who they are going to have to call on for help. I am sure her dear Majesty will ensure it all goes smoothly.I am sure Mr Cameron will do what he thinks is right.

I dont want a coalition with anyone. We are not a coalition country as much of Europe is. We have always voted one party with enough majority to rule on their own. Usually either Labour or the Conservatives of course. Mrs Thatcher and Tony Blair fought several elections with massive majority"s for their party. Even Harold Wilson in 1964 with his majority of 6 ruled alone.

This is the first coalition we have had apart from the war years. We dont want another. No doubt as it seems UKIP and possibly the SNP may have influence,it will be un-official.

No this chicken will make a pact with anyone has we saw with the Liberal democrats, who by the way would not have formed a coalition but they were skint after the general election campaign so could not fight another election.

He is so scared that his policies will be exposed that he dare not debate them and he is scared that Ed Miliband will get the upper hand over him.

Think i will send cameron a packet of paxo because this chicken will get a real stuffing at the next General election.

Hey ho - tactical voting FOR party A to avoid party B getting more seats than party C who

have ruled OUT being in coalition with parties D and/or E and F is giving me a serious

head-ache - trying to predict what sort of HUNG Parliament we tax-paying VOTERS

will be saddled with, come May 2015.

Political PUNDITS speculating on the permutation of possible outcomes will no doubt ratchet

up their forecasts as we get closer to POLLING DAY.

With the whole sorry MESS made more complicated by Inquiry Reports DELAYED post-

General Election. Reports on such matters as

Why we went to war in Iraq ?

What cover-ups on child sex-abuse ?

When did Whitehall authorities know about senior party members...?

Where have secret files lay hidden - or disappeared to ?

How much has it COST us ...???

Cameron and his lapdogs would consort with the devil if it kept them in power. UKIP is a much better bet than the SNP fanatics but at the end of the day they are all ruled by a higher power and stay merely to keep their snouts in the trough.

Lol I think the British people should decide, and if a coalition is voted for, so be it. As Scotland has just rejected independence I do wonder how many want an independent Scotland and how many want a more left wing alternative to Labour. Just as many Kippers want a more right wing version of the Tories. But if polls are correct, the SNP could get nearly as many seats as the lib dems have now. Cameron is in coalition with them. I dont see it as any of his business who labour goes into coalition with.

Maybe those in England who want rid of Scotland should vote Labour in the hope they do go into coalition with the snp.

I do not know where you have been living but your estimation on the power of UKIP is way out of bed, they will be lucky to get 10 seats at the next general election ,a protest vote never turns out to be an actual vote ok,

I think UKIP ruled out a coalition

This the same David Cameron who was too scared to face Alex Salmond in a televised debate. He sent Alistair Darling instead. The same Cameron who praised Gordon Brown, Labour, to high heaven for his role in the debate about Independence. Now he is trying to dictate to Labour on who they should or should not back. This would be funny if it was not so downright fcking sad. Never, ever trust a Tory politician.

If necessary he'll rule IN anybody that he has to!

Personally I like a no majority government..it makes them a little more careful about pissing everybody off!

Hopefully UKIP will rule out a coalition with the conservative party.

He does not mean it, he just hopes it will not have to be so. All these people love is power and if making alliances with any party helps them achieve this, then they will change their minds.
2015-03-07 15:43:52 UTC
looks like he's ruled out getting a majority

Why should he? UKIP are interested in England so why not have a coalition with them? I don't they they are separatists like the scots who have no interest in the union just what they can squeeze out of it.

If it came to it, Cameron would f*ck a pig on live TV if it meant getting reelected

Why should he ? The SNP thing is different as they don't want to be part of a UK government.By the way this forum is full of lefties who are blocking anybody who doesn't agree with them so good on Dorothy for giving it back.

If he did so, would you believe him, I wouldn't, so I suspect neither would Milliband.

I'd much prefer it if he offered a couple of thousand brick-laying apprenticeships in Cumbria and Northumberland!

The SNP are not welcome in England, they want to break up the United Kingdom!
