I would never send children to a public school. I worked very hard to pay for private school and I am glad that I did..

Public schools are not worth sending kids to any more..

As you might very well know manchester united was the first to start with the devil thing, and when i say first, i mean that they wore the first devils to get popular.

Why is mankind's worst enemy taken lightly? That is because religion plays a forgotten role in the lives of today's population. I my self am an Orthodox Christian and looking at my friends, relatives and people i know i see that prayer and slava (a Serbian tradition, it`s a day when a family devotes it self to God, and makes a feast in the honor of the households patron saint) are meir traditions to them. In the world of computers and space travel God is nothing to many but a very distant being that plays no role in their daily lives. Look at all the ``emo`` kids, cutting their veins, closing themselves in dark closets... death cultists... and with mass media and internet such things become appealing to children who are not guided by their parents because they spend their day working to give their family enough to buy food. And so it comes logically that devil sounds cool, and since this is not the medieval age and no one fears God`s retribution they use it ligtly and freely

Almoast forgot: havy metal bands... big influence as well

I was in high school from 2007-2011 the popular kids were cliche and not at the same time. 1. They wear AE, Aeropostal, etc; they have coach bags and wore plenty of makeup 2. They were the children of doctors, lawyers, the rich people 3. Football payers were as stupid as bricks and sometimes not the most popular. Being athletic (no matter the sport) made you more likely to become popular, something I never rightly understood. Another oddity was that many people in marching band were popular. i.e. they hardly feel under the nerdy, awkward stereotype. 4. You also described the popular students very well as that it was similar here too. ( fashionable, funny, slutty sometimes, they drink, do sexual stuff to get attention, skip class but get good grades). I always thought it was weird how many popular kids were athletic and on the A-honor roll. The cheese growing on trees thing is funny, but I believe that could happen. There are people who are so stupid, so, so stupid and it's worse in teens.

Jesus said " do not resist evil.." Just let them be.

In Revelation

2:12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;

2:13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

2:14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.

2:15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.

2:16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

In churches of Satan, Christians should strictly follow the instruction in the Bible. That is they should not read Theology but read the Bible and practice the teaching in the Bible.

I guess it depends on how serioiusly you take these things. Personally, I find names like "Redskins" far more offensive. My high school was named the Red Devils, and no one had a problem with it.

I guess you could talk to some school administrators about it, but I'm guessing you wouldn't get very far.

Due to the Separation of Church and State, I would just choose to attend another school and make my objection known.

No I think I would start a petition against it. End it in the bud. That name isn't good. It isn' t encouraging to the students participating. Whoever chose that name should explain why. It is horrible. Why don't you suggest other names instead and take a petition so the students could decide. Good luck. That name stinks.

You must be talking about the Old Testament, superstitious Christians who've stolen the word "Christian" from the rest of us. You can't believe in an all-knowing, all-powerful God and fear the devil, too, unless you've got absolutely no self-control and really don't believe. If your parents or your church didn't teach you right from wrong or if you just decide not to follow the rules, then you should be afraid of that pesky old devil. When it comes to mascots, I say the devil just as good as anything else and a heck of a lot more interesting.

Do you boycott the dirt devil vacuums and all bakeries because they bake devils food cake? Im not being sarcastic, i just wouldnt understand it if you didnt boycott those devil things if you are so upset about a school mascot;s name. or perhaps its the "blue" devil you object to.
