Was the youtube movie the only reason the Muslim states started rebelling?

Or was there another incident that happened around the time of the movies release. I ask because its obviously an art project home movie... Barely a B grade made for TV movie.

No, the youtube movie was not the only reason. The anger and intent has been ongoing and has been there for a long time. They pretty much use any excuse they can. Although that was not the only reason, it was a good enough one to make them react and show the anger that has been building. This is not the first time, nor will it be the last. The Middle East is having great problems now and probably will for quite awhile to come. Anything they can use, they will.

As for the question, I watched that movie yesterday, I am of no specific religion persuasion but that movie was disgraceful and a blatant attack on the Islamic faith held by millions across the world. The only purpose of the movie was to offend, it was cheap & highly offensive & although I do not agree, I can understand why a fatwa has been issued on the film director. Yes the movie was the catalyst for the violence that followed, he'd do well to make another movie apologising and correcting any discrepancies in the original.

No, in fact it really wasnt a reason at all. If you watch some of the videos of the rioting you can see people burning photos of President Obama and chanting Obama Obama, we are all Osama (Bin Laden).

This happened on the anniversary of 911, President Obama takes credit for taking out Bin Laden. Those people worshiped Bin Laden, now they hate Obama.

Nope. Before that the US had killed 100,000 Iraqi civilians, tortured them in Abu Ghraib, waterboarded them, defacated on them, drone-striked them, bombed them, set fire to their houses. And killed a 7 year old in Afghanistan for trying to help a wounded journalist, which an Apache gunner shot.
